Greensboro Youth Chorus Music Explorers Conductor & Apprentice Choir Assistant Conductor

Andy McGeagh directs the Music Explorers and assistant directors the Apprentice Choir of Greensboro Youth Chorus. Andy is a local early childhood music teacher in Greensboro, NC, with six years of experience teaching in the public schools of New York and North Carolina. Currently, Andy teaches Pre-K through second grade music and is director of the Upper-School Contemporary Band ensemble at Westchester Country Day School in High Point, and continues to run their own music teaching business, focusing on early childhood education and music for young children. They have also worked for Education Through Music, a nonprofit in New York City, and launched the first early childhood music program at Riverdale Temple Nursery School in the North Bronx in 2019. Andy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education and a Master in Music Education from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, and they are a certified First Steps in Music teacher.
