Peruvian-born pianist, Angelita Berdiales, started her musical training at the National Conservatory of Music in Lima-Peru at just eight years old. Her passion for music led her to pursue studies abroad, earning her bachelor’s degree from Florida Gulf Coast University and her master’s degree from the University of South Florida. Currently, she is pursuing her DMA at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Angelita has performed at prestigious festivals in America and Europe. She has given masterclasses in Latin America and has earned numerous awards, including first prizes in concerto competitions and a grant for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Access (EDIA), resulting in a concert titled “Honoring Hispanic Cultures through Music,” celebrating the musical traditions of Latin America and Spain. Her most recent teaching appointments include Guilford College and The Music Academy of North Carolina.
