Anne Lewis is thrilled to return for another season of musical transcendence with Bel Canto Company. Dr. Lewis is a music professor, choral conductor, and chair of the music department at Averett University in Danville, VA. Her summers are filled with directing musical theatre productions with amazing young actors at Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan. She earned degrees from Baylor University and UNC-Greensboro, with additional study at California Baptist College and the Music Academy of the West and has performed as both singer and pianist in choral ensembles across the United States and Europe. Dr. Lewis maintains an active performing schedule as a musical theatre music director/conductor, collaborative pianist, and vocal coach. She also maintains life balance with her demanding tabby fur babies, cheering on Baylor Bears sports, and practicing growth mindset with “Rebound Cardio”. Anne is a fervent believer in the power of the human voice to change attitudes and relishes the opportunities for that through Bel Canto Company.
