Singer, flamenco dancer, gardener, bread baker, knitter and crocheter are a few of the hats Betty wears. Betty has sung in school choirs, church choirs, community theater, and most recently, with the Greensboro Choral Society. Betty loves a wide variety of music, but choral works and theater music hold a special place in her heart. No formal training in music or in voice except for a life-long desire to sing and to learn. She is taking voice lessons with Elena DeAngelis at the Greensboro Cultural Center and is exploring the world of opera as a mezzo-soprano. Now retired, Betty and her husband enjoy living in Colfax, NC close to their family and grandchildren.
