Bill Johnston learned from an early age the joy of making music with somebody else, first with his piano duets, glee club, marching band, church choir, being the piano accompanist for soloists and for choruses, even being in a gospel quartet with his brothers. He says “Blending sounds and tempo with other musicians rejuvenates my brain.” After years of singing with the Wilkes Chamber Singers in North Wilkesboro NC and the chamber group of the Rockbridge Choral Society of Lexington VA, he is delighted to be here with the Gate City Voices. Also he makes pottery and clay sculptures.
