A native of Wayne, NJ, Lauren is delighted to return for her thirteenth season with Bel Canto. Lauren received her BM in Vocal Performance and MAT from James Madison University. She also earned an MM in Vocal Performance from UNCG, where she studied with Barbara Peters and Dr. Nancy Walker. Lauren has sung with choirs at venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston. She has performed as a member and soloist with the Greensboro Choral Society, the National Philharmonic Chorale, and soprano section leader at St. Francis Episcopal Church. This year marks her 20th year in education all in Guilford County, where she will serve as an 8th grade math teacher at Kiser Middle. She and her husband, Charlie, reside in McLeansville with their 12-year-old daughter, Elena, and 9-year-old son, Charlie.
