This is Nathan Golden’s first season singing with Gate City Voices.

Nathan grew up surrounded by music. Even after choosing a career in writing, he spent many evenings and weekends as a young adult playing music in community theater orchestra pits and at wedding ceremonies.

While attending previous Gate City Voices concerts to support his wife, GCV soprano Christy Golden, Nathan noticed how the conductors, accompanists, and singers cared about every measure of the music. He thought it would be fun to be part of such dedication. Even so, it still took some nudging from Christy for him to audition.

Nathan and Christy enjoy spending time with their three sons, daughter-in-law, and other family and friends. They are the co-founders of the Callie Golden Foundation, established in memory of their late daughter, Callie.
