Bel Canto Company welcomes Gate City Voices, a new auditioned, volunteer choir founded to perform with Bel Canto Company, presenting expansive choral works composed for large choirs.

The inaugural performance will feature Louis Vierne’s Messe solennelle (Solemn Mass) in C-sharp minor, a masterpiece for choir and TWO organs that is by turns stirring, haunting, and ecstatic; Margaret Bonds’ Credo, a powerful cry for equality based on W.E.B Du Bois’ prose poem of the same name, and Eric Wolfgang Korngold’s, Passover Psalm, a hymn to Hebrew prayers from the Haggadah set to music that is jubilant and uplifting.
