We Shall Be Known

New Favorites by Women Composers
Saturday, October 8, 8pm | Monday, October 10, 7:30pm

First Presbyterian Church, 617 N Elm St, Greensboro, NC 27401
(Enter from through Greene Street side-doors)

Join us for the opening concert of Bel Canto Company’s 40th Season and discover the passionate, intriguing, and beautiful music of women composers who, until recent years, have been woefully underrepresented in concert halls. We invite you to lose yourself in the lyrical and harmonic expressiveness of Karisha Longaker’s “We Shall Be Known,” Libby Larsen’s “Claire de lune in Blue,” Jennifer Higdon’s “Somewhere I Have Never Traveled,” Jocelyn Hagan’s “Trees Need Not Walk the Earth,” selections by Gwyneth Walker, Edie Hill, Dale Trumbore, and more.
