In response to continued injustice and violence against Black men and women in our country and around the world, Royal Expressions Contemporary Ballet and Bel Canto Company performed “365” by Daniel Elder earlier in June 2020. We believe art, and especially collaborative performances like this, can be a powerful force for healing and building community. As performers we strive to reflect the world around us and to imagine a better one. Music and dance have the power to tear down walls and to speak our shared dreams, fears, hopes, and frustrations when words fall short. Together we can and will build a better future.
