“Hold On Just a Little While Longer”
“Ain’t Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around”

In May, Bel Canto and TAB Arts Center Non Profit created a performance art piece highlighting social issues around race in America. The Freedom Songs “Hold On Just a Little While Longer” and “Ain’t Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around” are performed by 8 members of Bel Canto and 10 singers from the Triad under the direction of Lemar Martin, together with the visuals of performance artist and curator Virginia Holmes. Holmes, an activist, curator, and artist has organized several protests dealing with police brutality. She used this incredible platform to tell her story.
